ReplyDeleteAs far as the cookies go, I use a combo of sifted powdered sugar and water instead of the corn syrup. I usually use about 2-5 teaspoons of water per cup of powdered sugar, depending on the humidity and the desired consistency. Then, I put a dollop in the middle of the cookie and spread with my (clean) finger until the icing is pushed to about 1/4 inch from the edge. If it starts to droop or run, I swipe around the edges once with my finger to smooth it out, and then it usually dries nice and even.

ReplyDeleteI don't do a whole lot of gazing cookie frosting but I like a LOT of frosting. :) But I will do more over the holidays and will definitely post about it!
